Bidra med feedbackVisited with a Dutch visitor for dinner. Upstairs for bar and lower level (road level) for restaurant. Rooms are also there. The menu is exhaustive, but items are classified on making time, readily available, takes 20 minutes, takes more time etc. Except fish, all others were in ready category. Good food, quantities (portions) are large and sharable (Biriyani, Fried rice, Noodles), fried items or dry starters are spicy. Min serving time from order is 15 minutes. Courteous service. Both restaurant and bar floors have an excellent panoramic view of tea estates, forests, blue hills, road traffic, misty roads and mountain peaks. Good experience.
Waste water for hot water its fine…we had to waste 40+ buckets to manage hot water for 4 days with repeated calling of reception morning evening night…1/10 No view no window from bottom floor, any lower rates are put there, and no ventilation in rest room Room 4/10 Service was average, seems no one was trained and clue less on service 3/10 Food was ok, but when more people come forget orders 5/10.. Over all average experience no one seems to care..
A decent restaurant located very close to Teanest Nightingale. Orange Pekoe also has a quiet little bar.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was terrible and not a single dish met my expectations. Most of the dishes lacked salt and the chicken and fried rice were stale and had a horrible taste. The prices were extremely high for the poor quality of food, making every penny spent a complete waste. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You will only be cheated as there is no response to any complaints.
We stopped for lunch here on our way to Ooty from Kotagiri. It's a nice spot for a meal. We ordered French fries, egg biriyani, and egg noodles. The food was flavorful but greasy. Despite that, it was satisfying. In a hill station with limited dining options, this restaurant is a great choice.
