Restoran Maheran Nasi Ulam - Kota

I had a fantastic, affordable lunch at this restaurant. The food was simply delicious. I went back twice during my trip and would highly recommend it.

There are two nasi ulam restaurants in the vicinity, one is situated within the Handicraft Village and the other is located right next to it. Both restaurants share the same name. We decided to dine at the one within the Village. They offer a great variety of nasi ulam and the sambal is incredibly delicious! It's not too spicy. The ayam perchik was also delicious, with moist and tender chicken. No regrets, highly recommended.

Best nasi ulam in Kota Bharu. Famous for its fried cat fish plain fried chicken(turmeric salt). Its ikan patin is also a hit. You have to try grilledsardines with budu.

Restoran Nasi Ulam Cikgu has 3 outlets and the one at Kampung Kraftangan is the primary one. My family and I came here for lunch. It is self service and thus It was really embarrassing when we have to be shown the correct way of eating nasi ulam. Using daun sambung nyawa picking up fish soaked in sauce and eat with rice. The fried catfish was very delicious crispy on the outside and sweet meat on the inside. We will return if we come to KB again. Thank you Cikgu.

Authentic local dishes. They serve the local dishes with rice and not compromising in its local taste. Rural folks can eat here and surprisingly many outside visitors like it too.
