Bidra med feedbackThe food at Kosi Chalet was excellent overall, with the exception of the osso bucco which was not cooked for long enough. Our meals were included in our package stay and were of a high standard, making it a great option for a ski chalet.
The menu was fantastic and the food was of top-notch quality. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was outstanding with a friendly staff. I was truly impressed.
I recently dined here during a stay at the hotel. My accommodation was basic and so I had little expectations of this restaurant. I was in fact blown away. Dined here two nights and could honestly not fault anything. The staff were friendly and attentive, the dining room was classy, cosy and intimate, and they nailed it with the food. They offered a vegetarian option in both entree and mains, and the portion sizes were what you would find in other fine dining restaurants. When taking into account the location, the prices were reasonable, and what you would pay in Sydney or Hunter Valley. I had scallops, lamb rillette, salmon, and a quinoa and pumpkin tower over the course of my stay and nothing was over or undercooked, all with balanced flavours. I was happy to find the vegetarian option not lacking in flavour or presentation, as they usually are on other menus. Do try the chocolate pudding if given the opportunity - what looks rich, luscious and velvety on the outside its flavour is subtle and sill chocolatey without being ridiculously sweet. Buffet breakfast is also good, with your usual selection you would find in other hotels.I also need to note when they had run out of the wine I had ordered by the glass I was offered a glass of something better only offered by the bottle, at no additional cost - I don't often see this happening these days. More often than not it is the attitude that we don't have 'x' left, too bad, pick something else. The staff seemed genuinely interested we were enjoying our meals and well looked after, again, not something often found any more, especially with younger staff.
3 courses all included in the package price You could chose whatever you liked no restrictions And eat in peace, with most children in the kids club Plus no overcharging for alcohol Only niggle was duck was over cooked
We had lunch for five offered at $65 per head for three courses. We could select from the a la carte menu but the cost did not include side dishes with main course, or coffee. Wine was additional as is usual. Entres included the spring rolls which were good and the soup which was also good. For mains, four chose the rib eye steak which was ordered as medium rare but was probably more rare than medium and one of our group said their steak was on the tough side. One had fettucine with trout but said the dish was too salty. Deserts were the cheese selection for two and the lemon tart. The cheese selection was pricey and the portions very small, the quince paste sliver could barely be seen and the portion looked 'mean' - better if it had not been there at all. We had red wine which was a reasonable price. Overall, an enjoyable meal but the steak was slightly underdone and the cheese plates were mean for the price. Coffee and a side dish could have been included in the price for five diners.
