Bidra med feedbackDuring our visit to the Sky Lagoon on the way to KEG airport, we decided to stop by this charming cafe owned by a husband and wife. It is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the spa and 30 minutes from the airport. The cafe offers cafeteria-style dining with three different meal options to choose from. My group of four decided to try all three items on the menu and were not disappointed.
"This is the best restaurant we have eaten at in Iceland. During our 10-day trip, we dined at various places, but this one stands out as the most authentic when it comes to local cuisine. Everything was excellent and truly amazing. You haven't truly experienced Icelandic food until you've dined at this restaurant! They are only open from 11:50am to 3pm and offer just two choices for the day - beef or ling. We heard they are featured in the photos on display. This is hands down the most incredible local restaurant we have tried in Iceland! I am at a loss for words to describe how amazing this place is - it completely blew us away. A hidden gem! Unfortunately, today is my last day here, otherwise I would come back every day. The owners are extremely friendly and kind. I simply adore this place. I recommend arriving early, as parking can be a challenge. It's a favorite among locals!"
Sweet little cafeteria style meal: it was super fast and super service. Every court we have was incredible. The sausages, meatballs, fish and even salads were all so good, it was the best meal we had during our trip in Iceland.
Cafeteria style get your tray and select your pages and main course (there are two options for the main course). I don't know what the name is what I have, but it was basically a pig's stall with butter sauce and onion sauce upstairs. Everything was delicious, including soup, salad, peas, and of course the main course. They were also very friendly to us, even though we were not the most efficient buyers, as it was our first time. Do not fool the cafeteria style, Theu serves delicious and hearty dishes with a smile. One of our best meals in Iceland.
My father took me to this restaurant where he frequently has lunch with his colleagues. The prices for a full meal are very reasonable (about 2500 ISK), and you can add your own vegetables and fruit. The food is reminiscent of what you would find in any household in Iceland. The atmosphere is pleasant. Unfortunately, there were no vegetarian or vegan options when we visited, but they have a new menu every day.
