Letuchiy Gollandets

This is more of a personal memory: I went to this restaurant when I organized the Andrea Bocelli Concert on Nevsky Prospect. I brought Andrea Bocelli and his team there the night before the event. We had a great time. I noticed a couple at a nearby table who were very much in love, so I decided to send them a bottle of champagne. They raised their glasses and continued to enjoy each other's company. It made me feel grateful for witnessing such a beautiful moment. I soon found my own love from St. Petersburg and booked the same table a year later. We recreated the same romantic scene, but this time I was part of it. It was a wonderful feeling. However, the service at the restaurant was not great.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I should have read the reviews more carefully before coming here. If you don't speak Russian, they will completely disregard you. The service is the worst I have ever experienced, from the host to the waiters and manager. I can't comment on the food because I waited an hour after ordering and never received anything. It took 20 minutes to get the bill after we had lost our appetite and patience. Even the view is not worth it.

This restaurant in Russia is definitely one of the best, thanks to its unique decor. I thoroughly enjoyed the beef stroganoff and Kiev chicken, both of which were delicious. The bread and butter on the menu are also a nice touch.

Restaurant is great. We went there because my mom used to go there back in the days when she was a medical student. The place has great views, food is awesome, service is great. One thing they need to work on is managers'/administrators' attitudes. They obviously dont know how to smile or have pleasant faces. This is Customer Service 101 work on it. Also, those items I wanted to order were not available (escargot, mille feuilles)

We came upon this restaurant by accident en route to the Peter and Paul Fortess which is very nearby. We had a lovely lunch. We were given a table by the window with stunning views of the Hermitage and the skyline and service was reasonably quick. I had the spicy tiger prawns in a mango and mousse bisque which was delicious. Lovely food in a beautiful setting. One of the best meals of our trip!
