The Lanai Kauai - KOLOA

Menu was small but everything we had was very good! We ate at all the other hot spots in Poipu and it was our best overall meal of our trip. Definitely check it out.

Definitely the best food we had on the island! We enjoyed our so much that this was our third timing dining at the Lanai. A small, inviting outdoor atmosphere with a great menu. We ate there twice for dinner and once for lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection we had the chicken and the seafood soup from the dinner menu, and the burger, grilled cheese and pulled pork sandwich for lunch. The service was a bit lacking, but the manager made up for it by being continuously present and attending to the needs of all customers. Highly recommended.

Overall one of the better dining experiences, in Poipu. I had theIr version of the Moco Loco. It was fantastic. Braised short ribs and truffle risotto is so much better than the standard beef patty and rice. It is really good. My wife had the miso fish of the day which was mahi mahi. She thought it was a bit overdone. I tried it and it seemed fine, but did not compare to the moco loco. My only real compliant was that we ordered the deviled eggs, and out waiter forgot. We reminded him when he brought the main course and we wondered where our appetizer was. He was apologetic and asked if we still wanted them, but that was putting the cart before the horse, so we declined.

Food was great. Drinks were not bartender needs a bit more training or need to revise cocktail menu tried several and simply not good. Switched to a martini and bartender had a tough time making that. Fix this then you’ll be on your way!
