Chiyang - Kollam

Visited with mom and wife and all three of us were disappointed. Bought 1 Sweet Corn, 1 Hot and Spicy Soup, 1/2 Chicken Fried Rice , 1/2 Chicken Noodles , 1/2 Chilly chicken and 1/2 Ginger Chicken. Total p4ice Rs 1150 Positive 1 Soup was great. 2 Qty was good. We had left overs for another meal for 3. 3 Lot of parking space. 4 Staff were very nice and prompt. Negative 1 Except for soup, everything else did not have much of a flavour. 2 Chicken dish had burnt taste to it. 3 Chicken coating had come off. I believe, because they are almost cooking half a chicken i.e. huge portion for a single serve, they are not able to maintain the quality or flavours. They would have better control on both if smaller quantity is cooked. Would I visit again? Not if the taste and quality issue is fixed.

They been in the industry for quiet long time however maintaining the taste standards quality price all up to the mark . Good luck !!!

I was at the Chiyang restaurant earlier last month, as it was recommended as the best Chinese restaurant in Ernakulam by my hotel. The location is just off SA Road, and the building is distinctly red and in Chinese architecture. The food here was good we loved the clear veg soup, schezwan paneer was too spicy, the potato cauliflower dish was spicy too. The food is ordered in half or full portions. I recommend always sticking to half if you are not a big group. Service was quite friendly. They get the food out to the table quite quickly. Not too heavy on the pocket either. Only drawback it is too spicy!

The restaurant is located on SA Road the road from Kadavanthra junction to Vyttilla junction) and though tucked into a bye-lane is easily accessible. The décor, lighting, tables and settings are clean and fair. The 'Hot and Sour Veg Soup was fairly good. The meal we had was 'Boneless Schezwan Chicken ' accompanied by 'Manjurian Veg Rice '. The portions were generous and the taste adequate. This restaurant is apt for a quick meal, if one is not fussy about the taste.

We went once heard about the Restaurant,the restaurant has enough covers,has parking arra and all. We entered and found a table and sit. I saw the menu its good,ordered Hot and sour soup and american chopsuey. Both are not even average.but the normal vegetable noodles is good which ordered by my wife. The place has less air circulation felt uncomportable to dine.
