Food Stop - Kolkata (Calcutta)

I happened to chance upon this place one fine evening, and till date, if I want good Bengali food at a reasonable price, this is the go-to place. Almost every dish I have tasted has impressed me, and the best part is that they serve Gondhoraj lebu.<br/ <br/ Must try: Thalis, aloo jhinge posto, mutton dakbungalow, mutton kasha.

Bengali fathers are always on the verge to having Bengali cuisines during pujo and if its Asthami, it has to be all being Bengali. I have always loved this place for many reasons. From the lovely family crowds to the finger licking dishes, this is a must visit place for everyone here.

We ordered the non veg thali. Items were pretty good indeed. But the sukto and dal could have been better. I really liked all other items in the thali. Ambience was pretty good. Happy with the service

Today we had our lunch at Ghare Baire. It was really awesome. The restaurant is small but very nicely decorated. Nice atmosphere, cordial behaviour from the people serving food. We had all Bengali food. Amporar sarbat, basmati rice, Bengali polao, ilish Kancha jhol, Kochi pathar jhol and Chicken. We enjoyed the food.
