Bidra med feedbackBest and authentic Chinese food in Mumbai. Must try the pepper chicken and cream corn. There are many delicacy here. Often visited by celebrity and who's who of Mumbai. When I visited shewta bachan was there. I'm giving 4 star because the crockery was an issue here. The forks theet are bend of all the fork. I request the owner to please replace the crockery as it gives a bad name to such a huge brand.
If you want have Chinese cuisine nothing to beat China garden. Though the ambience has changed a lot. But food is still good and still the care of owners given to customer.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at China Garden. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. The teppenyaki was exquisite. The beef in it was very tender. The teppensoba dish look extremely inviting on the hot sizzling plate. The honey Sesame chicken also tasted great. The soft chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream is a must have. The big plate of vanilla ice cream with honey wonton noodles with extra honey was amazingly scrumptious. The manager Mr. Sharma really took care of some of the issues we had. Er go here quite often and I definitely recommend visiting this place.
Went to China Garden after years and it’s still exactly the same! They have maintained their consistency for years and it is the perfect comfort food! The highlight of the meal was definitely the cream corn- which is the softest and creamiest I’ve ever had. We tried a dry paneer dish in a marinated Thai sauce which had great flavours and is a must try. I however, did not love the manchow soup and steamed wontons. I feel they could have been better. In mains, we called for fried rice and chilli paneer in a gravy sauce which were really delicious and yum. For dessert we had the honey noodles with ice cream which is a classic and is always a good idea. The best part at China garden is that they have half portions options so that you can order more dishes. Even their half portions have a good quantity and is definitely value for money.
Last night, we had to wait 45 mins for a table at a restaurant named '29 ' in Tardeo. Instead of heading somewhere else where also we may have found waiting time, though much less, we decided to just wait out there itself. After an amazing main course, we were looking for the waiter to take our dessert order. Seeing that we were waiting since a long time, the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Nishek, promptly came to help us out. Asking whether he could take a few mins of our time and share what he 's trying to do through his restaurant, he sat at our table. He introduced himself as an 'employee working there ' though he owns the place. Though I wouldn 't be able to convey his message through as passionately as he did, here is some of what he said which moved all 3 of us to tears: There are, in total, 660 recipes of local food meals in India which do not travel farther than 100 kms from their origin. His primary motive is to give us all, all of those 660 food meals, in his restaurant 'under that same roof, with the same AC and valet parking '. To do so, he changes his menu every 23rd May and November (his parents ' birthdays) to get 70 new recipes to the menu. Also, on those days, he just HANDS OUT ALL the recipes of the previous menu. He has started this initiative a few months back and by Nov 2021, will be done with all the 660 recipes. On that day, he is going to shut down his restaurant. An engineer himself, who has stayed in Germany for 11 years, his thought behind the idea is: 'When we have such beautiful and varied food in our country itself, why do we consume that cancer causing bread? ' The restaurant has many loyal customers; so much so that when Mr Nikesh found out that we were coming there for the first time, he gave us the desserts on the house. He knows each one of his loyal customers by name. A man on a mission, which is purely just to make us love the diversity of India and enjoy it 's givings (the produce of India), Mr Nikesh is a true inspiration. Not at all concerned with the economics of his business, he exists just to share with us the beauty of Indian food. Really recommend every of one you 'll to give his restaurant a visit. One can really celebrate food, the diversity of India and also enjoy the company of a truly patriotic man 'in his simple restaurant; under the roof, with AC and valet parking '
