Bidra med feedbackThe newly opened Dhamaal, The Desi Kitchen is pristine white as you enter. Almost like that bright white room of bruce almighty. You really don't want to stain it, that white and plush unlike anything there's ever been. But one look at the menu and you know, this restaurant's totally up your ally. A full blown desi fusion meal here that you don't want to miss! What we had: Starters: Paneer Tikka: Deliciously marinated Paneer grilled to perfection! Black Currant Handi Salad: Handvi Bulgar Chutneys Mascarpone Black current and pomegranate This one's a gujju twist which we totally were intrigued by! Drinks: Orange Basil Mojito: This drink was so refreshing! We really needed it to cool down from all this heat during the day! Guava Merry: This drink was so much fun! Mains: Peepawale Chhole Oh what deliciousness in this Chhole bowl! Takes us to the bylanes of Delhi. That authentic it tasted! Finger licking good this was! Chilli Olive Naan Amrisari Kulcha: Perfect accompaniments to the masaleydar chhole. Although we felt the kulcha was so delicious, it really deserved to be had just like that! Desserts: To end the meal was this masterchef looking dessert, Anjeer Shahi Tukda which looked so so good, we almost didn't want to break it! It came along with Rabdi and we did think the entire combo would be too sweet, but much to our surprise it wasn't and tasted so damn delicious! This place has all that it takes to be popular. Head here before it gets too busy to get a table! :D
Nice ambience, it was 10.10 and we called the hotel and they were generous enough to give us a table. We had nice time.. it was only us at the restaurant and the food was awesome. It was served very quickly and it's taste was superb. We ordered Chilly panner, Veg Biryani and Panner Tikka Pizza... All of them were superb...
Dhamaal- the desi kitchen has won my heart on the first sight itself. The use of white colour in their decor is so overpowering that they give you an impression of being pure and pristine. The seating is comfortable . It is also connected to the hustle where one can have hard drinks and enjoy the lounge. Dhamaal is a family restaurant and ofcourse kid friendly. The staff service is excellent and i am really confused about the negative comments on service in the reviews but i have not faced any issues. Infact the servers were very attentive even on a busy evening. We ordered the following: Guava marry Gabbies punch must order Orange basil mojito Virgin wasabi mule Avocado toasty Chatpatta jalapeno poppers fondue Paneer pesto tikka must order Avocado spiced hummus must order Paneer tikka pizza Asparagus walnut pesto pizza Sukhe kofte must order Paneer tikke wali biryani must order Vanilla and brownie sizzler best among the choices Malai kulfi Its one of the best pure veg restaurants to open up in this area and i highly recommend it. We were helped by Mr. Krishan in choosing the jain menu items and he did a wonderfull job. Superb food presentation and great taste.
Dhamaal The desi kitchen is located at charni road in the vicinity of girgaum chowpatty and just opposite 'The Royal Opera House ' theater. The family restaurant is situated on the ground floor and has a large dining hall. The place is very well lit. The interior has a white theme with accents of bright shades in the form of decor and lampshades. There 's always some mild and soothing music playing in the background. They have a couple of led screens to cast important events. They serve pure veg food and have a wide variety of north indian, mexican and italian dishes. We were hosted by Mr. Deepak and he gave us great recommendation. The service here is prompt and the staff members are attentive and courteous. What we ordered for dinner ? Mexican Tomato soup 5 The soup was tangy and a little sour which tasted great. With the fresh tomatoes, to add that Mexican flavour it had beans and small pieces of nachos in it. Asian tacos 5 Scrumptious tacos with a filling of fried potatoes and tomatoes with salsa. The tacos were drizzled with tangy mayo. The presentation of this dish is also very interesting. Chatpatta jalapeno popper fondue 5 These were crisp fried poppers stuffed with warm and soft melted cheese. It is served with hot liquid cheese fondue placed on top of a candle to keep it hot. The poppers tasted sweet and cheesy The cheese fondue was creamy and made a perfect dip for the poppers. Highly recommended. Gardenia pizza 5 This 10inch pizza had thin crust which was crisp on the edge. The pizza was loaded with layers of cheese and when pulled a slice the cheese stretched so satisfyingly. It was topped with veggies like bell peppers, jalapeno and corn. Overall it was very flavourful. Highly recommended. Tawa de paneer tikke 5 This classic delight was amazing. Tender squares of paneer sauted on a pan marinated in gravy full of condiments. Highly recommended Butter garlic naan 5 The naan slices were soft, thin and stretched perfectly. The garlic was evenly distributed and gave a strong accent to the flavour. Guava marry 5 If you 're searching for a summer mocktail with Indian flavours, this spiced guava chilli drink will fit the list perfectly. It 's a guava drink with the fieriness from red chilli powder and spiffed up with black pepper. A great combination of flavours come together in this drink. Highly recommended. Virgin wasabi mule 4.5 Virgin wasabi mule was a new drink. It was presented in a steel mug to keep the drink cold with a piece of lemon in it. The aftertaste of ginger was the best.
We went to dhamaal, a newly opened restaurant at girgaon Chowpatty, on a Monday night and it was jam packed. The decor is very bright and pure white. There are huge glass windows overlooking the road which give the restaurant a grand look. The ambience is very cheerful and soothing. We were a group of 4 people and ordered pure jain menu and we were impressed. We had paneer tikka pizza , sukhe kofte, asparagus walnut risotto and paneer wali Biryani in mains. Each item was mind blowing and this has become my favourite weekend restaurant now. I am in love with the food out here. Presented very well and the staff also tries their best to make you comfortable. We also tried their pesto paneer tikka, avocado humus , avocado toasty and chatpatta jalapeno popper fondue and they were amazing. In drinks I would recommend the gabbies punch and guava marry. Would love to see more options in the dessert section but the sizzling brownie does not disappoint. Overall a heaven for veg food lovers and totally recommend it
