Kawin's Kitchen - Koh Samui

The food here was fab and I was particularly impressed that they can make anything on the menu vegetarian. They also have a separate vegan menu. The staff were really friendly and really attentive, checking we liked our food etc. Lovely atmosphere and interior, very nicely decorated. Lots of traditional Thai dishes on the menu. Worth a visit.

There is a vegan menu that contains honey and we ordered a Buddha bowl served with a non-vegan dressing. Anyway, the bowl was delicious (without dressing obvious) and the paneng curry as well. it is an expensive restaurant, definitiw none. more than

Yum food! Portions were large and the price, whilst not super cheap, was reasonable. I had the Buddha bowl which was very fresh and full of veggies, rice, chickpeas, tofu and more. I would come back again. Please note they include dishes with honey in the vegan menu, so something to watch out for

We were staying away from Lamai beach on Koh Samui, our friends had told me about this place as they'd been there last year and lucky for us it was at the junction of the main road and on the road leading to our resort, only a 15 minute walk. The first night we were hungry so ordered the potato, sweet potato taro fries, tempura vegetables, the open sandwich of pumpkin, tahini and basil, and the Pad See Ew with tofu. The waitress asked if we were ok with egg or not, it's good that they check. The fries were good but a bit too similar to the tempura so not what I was expecting, the open sandwich was really tasty, kind of like hummus but not and the Pad See Ew was delicious with big flat fried noodle. We also had a couple of mixed juices that were a good size, served in a small jug. It was a busy place and the guy (I assumed to be the owner) was really nice friendly. The following night it was busy again, we started with the spring rolls, I had the Pad See Ew while my girlfriend had the Buddha bowl which was huge, again we had really tasty juices. For a non-vegan place I've got to say the food was really good and very reasonably priced, definitely recommend this place.

Plenty of vegan options on the menu and they can make several plates vegan or vegetarian. Food was excellent as was the service.
