The caffeine egg gel in the carpenter city is one of the best caffeine for me for years in the clean quality and the selection of cakes, baked and pralins is unique. the café eigel has been a welcome coffee from me for many years, is one of my homesteads in Cologne, which I would like to visit with good friends and business partners.
Under the motto “Genuss ist Lebensfreude” today’s café eigel opened a small conditories in the year 1851 in the signgasse 36, which today is one of the oldest family farms of this species throughout the Rhineland. since 1955 the caffe eigel is in the high str. in köln as conceptual for coffee house culture and confectionery art. a variety of delicious creations is offered in the café eigel. besides fine torts, petit fours, cakes and chocolates are also offered hearty quiches, ciabatta and focaccia. countless fine pralins and approx. 50 different types of teas fill the sales counter. also thought of diabetics. for those deplorable people of the “cracked pleasure” (own word creation) is a small selection of cakes, chocolate etc. in the entrance area are offered in the sales counter, two antik acting comods and in regal chocolate specialties, currently mostly in hae-shaped form, colour-matched with a pretty loop and decoration. Although I love chocolate, I was not willing to invest a wealth of money for this, because the required prices for the exhibited hens were between 10 – 25 euros for some “models”. the caffe offers about 400 square meters, divided into different areas, with about 360 seats, for each taste a suitable place to enjoy and stay. there is also a winter garden, a business lounge, a stand-alone area, an espresso bar and a snack counter. in the salestresen are offered almost 40 different cream,- cream,- cheese and top cakes. a special form of presentation, as well as a sophisticated light-guiding system make the exhibited examples appear even more high-quality. according to the coffee house culture, I ordered a cappuccino. when he was then finally served by a very charming and friendly lady, I thought what is that for a misfortune scum? so visually it was not a highlight! the tasting gave me almost a caffeine shock during the first swallow, which I have not experienced so far. only the addition of separately ordered milk and estimated 10 spoons of sugar, this hot beverage would be acceptable. I also received the, in the presently prevailing and beautiful early-flight weather, strongly overheated spatialities unbearable, even fierce sweat eruptions, which made the visit of caffes almost unbearable. my rating is therefore as follows: friendliness: 5 points cleanliness: 5 points offer available price performance: 3 points feel factor: 2 points 15 of 20 reviews 4 benevolent reviews
