Nyhavn is a puertito that looks like a postcard, with old wooden boats and colorful houses. Nyhavns faergekro is one of the classic restaurants in the area, serve Danish dishes, open sandwiches, herrings, schnapps and Danish beers, including the famous Carlsberg. They also make more international dishes such as solomillo and handmade fries. There is a young and relaxed atmosphere. Danes are not very formal when they come out. In summer there is a terrace outside and you can see all the activity of the port, it is very nice. The speciality of the place is the buffet of herrings, everything you can eat of marined fish, a Danish national dish, with potatoes and bread, for 89 kroner, a little more than 12 euros.
After walking almost all day, with the children, we arrived in Nyhavn in the afternoon, there was a lot of animation, because towards a great temperature and sun. We were late to go back to the hotel or look for some nearby place for dinner, so we stood in front of Faergehro, and the waiter turned out to be Spanish, so we didn't think about it and after waiting a little for the table we sat down. Very nice on the terrace. But that was just the nice thing, because the food left a lot to want. It was scarce and less bad that it was good but we were silving and very expensive. We were 2 adults and 2 children, the children ate steak with steak potatoes, because it was minuscule and nostros salad and entrecot, it was intercomillo because it did not come to entrecot, it stayed in half. The desserts, little ones, everything was for delicatessen... Now that is, the capital price, like the scare that we take when we pay... But well, the place was fine, the curious building to see, inside with a narrow snail staircase of forging that goes up to the toilets, the wooden interior... But in short, to see far and to eat somewhere else.
Good restaurant. Quality, very correct amount for a flat input menu and dessert to 275 Kr. Well installed on the covered and air-conditioned terrace even in June. Nice staff I recommend it for lovers of simplicity.
