Shelikof Lodge - Kodiak

Hotel is dated and in really poor. Pillows were like bags of instant mash potatoes. Restaurant was closed, cole machine out of order, and Toilets would not flush properly in room. Also had a young lady working the desk at the overnight shift who was rude and apathetic. Coffee offered in the lobby was cold.

"The restaurant has older, small rooms that are very clean. The housekeeping service was outstanding. It is in a perfect location for fishing charters. The showers are slippery and have very little water volume, making it take a long time to shower. Breakfast can be challenging due to limited hours at the nearby McDonalds and limited facilities in the area."

The staff at this restaurant are not very attentive and provide poor service overall.

If you are looking for a traditional Kodiak Island experience, the Shelikof Lodge is a great choice. The establishment is clean and somewhat dated, but still enjoyable. It is run by locals who embody the true Alaskan spirit. If you are seeking luxury, this may not be the place for you. However, if you are here to experience the rugged beauty of Alaska, then this is the perfect spot. The location is ideal for fishing enthusiasts.

Stayed 2 weeks at this motel and my vehicle was having a problem so I was trying to fix it and the manager said we can't have this across the street you have to move I was there parked no more than 10 minutes trying to get my vehicle up and going so I could leave he ask who I was with what I was even doing here like your not the police so back off dude very unprofessional and as far as the 2 week stay it was horrible very unprofessional service and staff and all the homeless hanging inside and out was horrible if your going to spend your money do it right and stay at best western or compass inn
