Bidra med feedbackVery understaffed and out of some items due to not ordering since they are closing down for good soon. My sever brought napkins and disappeared. She wasn’t working other tables. She never returned to the dining area. I never got a refill. I had a plastic red display they gave me to let the server know I was waiting on an item that wasn’t out of the oven yet and they didn’t want me to hold up the line so this is how they handle it. Since the server never returned, I didn’t get the item. I asked the cashier to take it off my bill and handed her the plastic number as proof, but she refused to take it off and forced me to pay for food I never received due to no fault of my own. She said she would get accused of stealing money and she’s not allowed to change prices but I could get the server to change it. I couldn’t do that because she disappeared, but the cashier said she didn’t have authority to do it. I didn’t eat most of the roast beef because it was too tough to chew. I waited in line for an hour to get my food and 20 minutes to pay. A particular family cut in line in front of everyone and we ended up sitting next to them. We finished quickly due to not being able to chew the roast, but that entire family walked past us while we were in line to pay and they walked out without paying. This was a HORRIBLE experience!
This was my first time being there but omg the food was on point absolutely delicious, my husband used to go every day on lunch break when he worked at corporate quarters and he's absolutely heartbroken that they are closing the doors for good and he loves the waitress I think her name is Debbie he's told me a lot of good things about her and he hates to not see her anymore ?
Used to go here after church on Sundays with my parents when I was a kid and had not been in a long time. I was surprised at what a good selection they had and I was very happy with the quality of everything we ordered. They have plenty of selections of meats and vegetables and desserts to please just about anyone. Very good home-style cooking. The staff were very accommodating and very nice.
My wife and I eat here about once a week when we're in town. It is one of the best restaurants in Knoxville. It is the best restaurant of its kind in Knoxville. I am so afraid that if they don't obtain more business we're going to lose this restaurant. I can never understand how they accomplish what they do. Today we had about five or six different vegetables two salads two meet courses I had iced tea all for about $26 I don't see how they keep the doors open. We love this place butthey need more business come and take a look. It is not what most restaurants serve in Knoxville. It is the only place in townthat you can get a meal here like baked chicken cooked perfectly with vegetables of all kinds maybe 8 to 10 different vegetables several. . different salads, it is more like old-fashioned home cooking than anything around.
We each got a vegetable plate. Most of the vegetables were over cooked and too much added salt and sugar. Half of the vegetables were barely warm. Decent portion size though. Overall considering the price it was okay.
