Captain Jack Fish Chicken - Knoxville

The best fish I've had since I moved here!! I ordered a few times from Grubhub and still was satisfied with the food and wait time.

Their food is always on point. It's always fresh and seasoned well. Also, surprisingly, not expensive at all.

Food is fresh and seasoned properly. Place and bathrooms are clean. Only thing is, there was a teenager hanging out asking people for money.

I love trying out-of-the-way mom and pop restaurants and wanted it to be good experience BUT I stopped in to Captain Jack's today based on the recommendation of a friend. I went for the chicken because she said it was really good. I had chicken, onionrings, hush puppies and potato salad. Turns out that the hushpuppies were the shining star of the meal...they were very goodwith a very nice texture and flavor. The chicken and onion rings were SOOOO salty it just was not an enjoyable experience...justWOW! I mean SUPER SALTY! The breading on the chicken was also very hard. The potato salad was better than the chicken, but thetexture and blend of flavors were both off. I am too scared to ever try their fish based on how salty the chicken and onionrings were.

My family has eaten here several times and it's always a hit. Food is always hot and fresh. We don't mind the small wait to get food that fresh. Employees are very nice. Chicken, tilapia, beans, it's all amazing! Great job!
