1904 Bistro Americain - Kloof

So enjoyed lunch yesterday witn my girlfriends. Stunning decor, our waiter G was great, knew the menu was charming. No problem exchanging the not to my taste bearnaise for pepper sauce at no additional cost for the great grass fed fillet.The huge portion of roasted veg was the best ever. My companions concurred with 2 of us having the same food but I'll definitely be back to try the highly rated prawn pasta one evening the mussels starter for lunch before too long.

Delicious food in all 3 courses, lovely ambience and excellent service. We were personally spoken to by the chef 2 or 3 times and had a delightful, well spoken waiter (Thabani).

Friday was my cheat meal Rump steak 500g was perfect Decor was different and suited the theme. However the seating decor means that if you have weak bladder and you in the middle everyone has to slide out to allow you to go to bathroom. That was my only issue. Food was really good

I had an amazing time here with my friend who 's also a colleague on Tuesday evening. The ambience, atmosphere was awesome. My friend enjoyed her meal but unfortunately I didn 't. Had steak which was dry with a terrible tasting mushroom sauce. Bacon cheese fries were lovely though. Regardless of my not enjoying my food 'Gugu ' our waitron was exquisite. I will be back just for the service we received from him.....

Good food and great service, the voodoo buffalo wings are incredible, blue cheese sauce and buttermilk crusted onion rings were to die for... amazing night out. Well done 1904.
