East Side Mario's Kitchener Pioneer Park

Upon arrival the host told us that we had no reservation and that it was at least 20 minutes for a table. We assured him that we had the app info as well as the confirmation email as proof. He continued to tell us that it was invalid as they should not be takin reservations... we advise that they did it and we have one, and they should honor it and again we were told there is nothing he could do. We wanted to talk to a manager. After a short wait, the host returned and never said we had a table, my manager said I was wrong. We were then brought to a table at the back/corner of the bar. The host was apologetic and polite at this point. Our waitress came and took our drink order, she was very eager and impatient. It took a long time for our drinks to come and our waitress to forget one of them. When one of the drinks came from the bar, it looked very different, we asked the waitress if that was the right drink. She advised: “Yes, it’s what you have ordered, but we use another juice because we ran out of the required and the replacement looks completely different, but doesn’t taste otherwise” ... we decided not to make a great deal of it and keep the drink that didn’t taste the same for the dish. This information should have been disclosed at the time of the order. The rest of the meal that the waitress checked in two times, but essentially said “all the good” as she went past, we had to call her back so that we could actually talk to her. The food was good and as expected no complaints. Overall absolutely terrible customer service; I wouldn't recommend going here. If you want to go GREAT food and service to Moose Winooskis, which not even 2 minutes away

Great for a group (like any East Side's), but you should note that even though Open Table will take a reservation for you on a weekend for this location, it WILL NOT actually be recorded or accepted by the restaurant. We made a reservation for a group (15) on Open Table for a Saturday at 5:00 and when we arrived they said they never take weekend reservations (even though they are aware that Open Table still books them). We were lucky it was early so they fit us in, but don't book a reservation here on a weekend through Open Table!

My party and i were informed that Eastside Marios has been in touch with your tech dept. and wish to cease using open table for reservations on weekends to allow more walk-ins. I would appreciate a notice from open table if thats goin to continue so i can make a decision to continue using this app. Thank you for the discount nonetheless.

When we arrived there was no account of the reservation. Food was terrible.
