Bidra med feedbackBeen a fan of rock music, American foods and cheep drinks you would think this place was a good place to go as there's not many that offer that in Huddersfield West Yorkshire but after visiting on Saturday 21st of may 2022 I was hugely disappointed. I was greated with staff that was either rude and not welcoming at all or they didn't have a clue what they was doing...a pint came way to priced and tasted like the barrel had not been changed for a few days and given this was a Saturday dinner time you would want better not only was the drink disgusting I definitely swapped it for a bottle once I saw the dirt dry hard thing stuck too my glass. Unfortunately I ordered food too a simple classic beef burger with took 25/30 mins to arrive and was greated with two onions a massive leaf of lettuce dripping in grease and a very chewy beef burger...the bun was so wet for grease it just made wanting to eat it impossible....all in all very poor there wasn't even rock music playing the only thing that rock about this place is the pictures on the wall definitely won't be going back
Had a lovely lunch this afternoon at the Rock cafa always very friendly staff nothing too much trouble for them and the food was great.
We recently visited Rock Cafe in the afternoon just to check it out. Upon first impressions, there were too many stairs to access the main dining and drinking area, making it not very disabled-friendly. The decor seemed a bit outdated and could use a refresh. The manager was friendly and asked if we were dining. We weren't sure yet, but we decided to order two drinks from the bar, one of which was a cocktail. The prices were a bit high, especially £9 for a cocktail. The bartender didn't seem very knowledgeable in mixing drinks, and we had to wait a while for our drinks. When we finally ordered food, the service was slow, but the food was surprisingly good, although the coleslaw was a bit too watery. We plan to attend the Friday night entertainment featuring a band and disco, hoping for a better experience. Overall, the Rock Cafe could become a regular spot for us if the evening service improves.
Popped in here for lunch on Monday whilst shopping as the menu suited my fussy kids. When we arrived there was one couple eating their starter and otherwise the place was deserted. We ordered drinks which came quickly and the server took our order. She made a rude face when my mother in law asked a question, and she was very offhand throughout our time. Despite the bar being empty we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive by which point we had finished our drinks. I'd have understood if it was busy, but the place was empty! Our server was rather off hand when we enquired as to how long it might be and didn't seem in any hurry to bring our food out as it was brought one plate at a time. My father in law loved his breakfast but my tuna cheese melt was rather bland. It was all very hot though which was good. I very much doubt the hand cut chips were actually hand cut on site (they looked like straight cut oven chips) , but that is opinion only. Though perhaps measuring and cutting the spuds all exactly the same size was why our meal took so long to arrive. All in all I doubt I'll return.
The room was freezing ,the staff were completely rude , not helpful and completely arrogant, came in a large group, my my food got misplaced and we arrive for a BOOKED meal only to be told the kitchen was closing soon therefore rushing us in deciding what to order. Went to the bar for drinks and my drink order also hadn’t shown up until I asked another member of staff , she was a blonde haired woman with atrocious fake eyelashes and over done make up which didn’t hide her rude personality. Never was apologised to abut the meal I never received only to be told that the apparently closed kitchen could make it in 8 minutes (def not microwaved at this time everyone else had eaten and most disliked their food so I opted not to get it. Will not be returning at all.
