Mamas Corner - Kirkland Lake

There are only three restaurants in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. One that was recommended for dinner is Mama's Corner Restaurant by a local. Mama's Corner Restaurant has a good variety of dishes on their menu ranging from Spaghetti, Pizza, Pasta to Burgers,Steak & Ribs to Salmon, Shrimps & Scallops, Calamari to Pork Chops and Liver plus daily specials. On the night I had dinner there, one of the daily specials was Roast Beef with Veggies and Fries. It was a massive portion with two slices of Beef, lots of Veggies and an overflowing portion of Fries. Extra gravy was provided however Horseradish was not until it was asked for. Unfortunately the beef was too well done and tough to my liking (note...I was not asked how I liked the beef done...I suspect medium or rare was not available) although it did have very good flavour. With the size of the portion, I was unable to finish everything but did enjoy very much what I was able to consume.There is a separate Take-Out entrance with a very similar menu to the dine-in menu. So if you're travelling and want to take something back to your hotel room Mama's is a good choice to provide a good variety to select from.Definitely would recommend Mama's Corner Restaurant for lunch, dinner or even a simple appetizer.

Tonight I ordered 2 X fish & chip dinners, poutine style. I asked waitress " roughly " how long and the total of bill. She stated it would be 20.min to 1/2 hr. And the total was about $21.00 plus tax. This was also including delivery fees. 7:05pm I ordered. 7:58pm hasn't arrived yet...I tried calling several times no answer finally it showed up at 8:11pm.....total bill was $43.84 and it wasn't made poutine style but we were charged for it. Food was good but the service was less then impressed with.

Lasagna was amazing 8 years ago and is still one of the best I've eaten I'm glad I stopped by ... Always worth the visit ... KL is lucky to have you Anna

Always great food, great service. The food is always consistent. Favs are chicken fingers, fish and chips chicken slouvaki. Anna the owner is fantastic.

Don't let the outside stop you from going in! Waitress was very prompt, knew her menu and could easily make suggestions. Best home cooked meal I have had in along time. Chicken souvlaki was delicious. Portion size was more than adequate. A meal that could be easily shared by two.. Pizza was very good with a more than sufficient amount of toppings. Will definitely be recommending this restaurant.
