Namaskar - Kingston

I was hesitant about trying out this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was great, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the place was clean and cozy. I will definitely recommend and return when I visit Hobart again. It was definitely worth the drive to get there.

Takeaway lunch was amazing. Hot Half beef Vidaloo and mild half Lamb Korma with rice.This is probably one of the best Indian lunches I've ever had. And believe me I've had a lot of them.I am quite an accomplished Indian cook myself, but this is far superior to anything that I've ever made or had elsewhere.Highly recommended and guaranteed we will be back on our return journey via Kingston to Devenport.

My husband and I get takeaways from here at least once a month, and have done for several years. The meals are always delicious; I have the vegetarian options and my husband has tried many of the meat dishes. The naan is also excellent. It is our favourite takeaway in Kingston, and the staff are always friendly and professional.

We were looking forward to a tasty and reasonably-priced Indian meal for lunch but we were disappointed with this place. We had eaten here before and had a nice meal then, so this was a let-down. The food was only so-so and it took a long time for our meal to arrive, considering we were the only people eating in the restaurant that lunch time. When it came as I’ve said it was disappointing. The bill was a shock – it was very high for a mediocre meal. The bill for lunch for two of us including 3 beers was $104, which was greatly over-priced for what we had. We’ll not be coming back.

This is our favourite indian restaurant in tasmania we frequent visit atleast twice if not 3 times a week,never disappoints,owner and staff very friendly and food always great. Most definitely recommend it
