Bidra med feedbackAfter waiting for about half an hour, we were served cold and overpriced fries followed by the burgers. I returned the expensive fries. The food, once it finally warmed up, was average. The staff appeared disinterested. It seems that the influx of Uber Eats orders has negatively impacted the atmosphere of what used to be a popular spot. If all they want to do is churn out orders without care for quality, they might as well shut down and relocate to a generic factory. It's disappointing to see a once unique burger joint turn into just another mediocre option. They risk becoming obsolete, just like old-fashioned dairy bars that served the same milk as everyone else.
A lambburger ordered. It looked beautiful and big, but it was so salty that I almost complained at the place (I did not, though). It was so disappointing and I don't think I'm going back there.
We visited on a Tuesday night and ordered the Bacon Burger with fries. It was incredibly tasty and the $2 chips special offered on Tuesdays was a great deal. The staff was excellent and our meals arrived promptly. We really enjoy dining at this restaurant!
We've already sat in and often taken along. It'll be a bit loud inside so best to sit outside or get away. Veggie burgers are amazing, the Patties are so delicious. The gluten-free rolls are also great!
It was on a Greyhound bus trip round the USA , circa 1974 , that I first saw artificial grass. I thought it was the tackiest thing I 'd ever seen, and I vowed that not only would I never use it, I would never step...onto it. How lucky then that I had subsequently modified my view, otherwsie I would never have had the Burger Lab experience. I find it odd that so many people have had negative experiences here. My Firedog burger was perfectly cooked, medium rare in the middle, a joy denied me since the Hard Rock Cafe and others in London stopped cooking burgers to order after the Creutzfeldt-Jakob scare in the '80s. The bun was soft and absorbent, and the mix of jalapeno chilli , sriracha, and tomato just magical. My companions had equally good experiences with their burgers: soft shell crab and a responsive modification of 'bean me up ', a vegan burger with real swapped for the vegan cheese. Fries were crisp, and well cooked. House wine was acceptable and not overpriced. Service was polite, obliging and efficient and all played out on roomy shaded tables with bench seats, planted on thick, green plastic.
