This restaurant is the best place in all of Newland, Beverley Road, and Cottingham Road. I absolutely love this place and the people who work here.

The service is friendly and the food is high quality and freshly prepared! I highly recommend the avocados on toast, but for me, the lasagna and salad take the gold star award. Not many restaurants can make such an interesting and tasty salad!

My husband and I went for afternoon tea. We are trying to do a bit of a comparison of local places which do afternoon tea-fancy ourselves as restaurant critics! Ponti rates as one of the best. Staff are really friendly and attentive. The food is all freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. We got 3 rounds of sandwiches between us which I had chosen on booking-all very tasty. I had given a couple of special requests which were perfectly followed. The sausage rolls and quiche were yummy as were all the cakes and the jam and cream scone. I must especially comment on the lemon meringue blondie which was heavenly. There was also crisps, strawberries and plenty of salad leaves. All was beautifully presented. We got a lovely big pot of tea which was refillable. All in all this was a wonderful afternoon tea experience and we will definitely be going back to sample some of the other things on the menu.

I absolutely love this cafe. The food is gorgeous, for me particularly the lasagne. It's the best I've had which is served with a simple salad finished off with a home made dressing. Highly recommend. All of the staff that work here are so lovely and have such fantastic customer service. You will be spolt for choice with deserts as they are fab! So get yourself there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea .. particularly the brownies; amazing! Great service too, catered to our every need.
