Bidra med feedbackDefinitely one of Kingston 's 'Gems '. Delicious coffee, a great bakery selection (their Biscotti are to die for , and a superb lunch menu to boot! The staff are always pleasant, smiling, making conversation, and it didn 't take long before they memorized my order! (Large Med-Roast w/ room for milk If you 're looking for a good cup of coffee, a delicious 'homey ' lunch, or even just a nice calm space to sit back and surf the web, you can 't get much better than this!
Great staff! Always happy and friendly. And the coffee is the VERY best in the YGK. I am so happy they are right beside my office.
Fav spot in Kingston Amethyst is a top notch barista:
Just In love with this place!!!. Just stopped by this weekend while visiting family and had the best cappachino and scones and tarts! The tarts were so nice they had a really tasty lemon filling and I got two to go! I definately will recommend this place to anyone that is swinging by Kingston and is looking for coffee by the lake!
Sort of Secretly Addicted to this Place!. So, as you may have guessed, I 'm sort of secretly addicted to this place. My uncle told me about it when he was visiting over the break, and I actually felt kinda stupid that I lived so close to it without actually, you know, having ever gone inside. <br/ <br/ Super glad I did! It 's warm and cozy, and looks like it 's right out of the past. The building 's limestone and has a lot of old, dark wood. Kinda reminds me of a cafe where my great-grandparents would 've first met in the 1920s or something. The baked goods are simply amazing, and it 's finally nice to have a small place in the neighbourhood for groceries! Haven 't tried any of the frozen meals yet, but from what I can tell, it 's a lot of local stuff, so like, the meals are from local restaurants and frozen. There 's sausage, meats, and veggies from farms in the Kingston area, which really scores a LOT of points with me!<br/ <br/ And the coffee! Oh the coffee! They 've got a really talented bunch of people who put latte art in all of the drinks, and a really big array of flavours too. I 'm so addicted to their pumpkin spice latte, which is YEAR ROUND unlike those 'other guys. ' Speaking of Starbucks, unlike them, The Common Market doesn 't burn their beans, so it actually tastes good. Ha! Anyhow I don 't want to end on a sour note, but I 'm really really into this place and can 't recommend it enough.<br/ <br/ Oh! They also have a coffee card which fills up every time that you buy a drink, so eventually, your addiction pays off!
