Capri Pizzeria - Kingston

Excellent pizza! Maybe a little more expensive than some others but you get what you pay for. The Capri pies cannot be beaten.

Pizzas always burnt, ALWAYS. Staff is super nice though. Prices are a bit crazy but have had better pizza. Not the worst just something to grab if you're too lazy for dinner or want a snack.

Capri Pizzeria is overrated. I think it is overrated because some locals boost it because they know the owners and staff and there is very little competition. The staff never wash their hands before handling the food. The staff smoke cigarettes in the doorway and outside the doorway, handle money, handle garbage and never wash their hands. The seating areas are dirty and need to be changed. The staff never greet the customers. The staff treat customers more like they are an annoyance. You pay top dollar for the food. For the high price you pay for the food, you can find better if you travel to a different area. The pizzas are really skimpy in crust and ingredients, except for the cheese. Sometimes they are burned black, but are served anyway.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza and we disappointed with it. When we got it home, I thought it was a cheese pizza because there wasn 't pepperoni slices on the pizza. The cheese tasted good and the sauce was alright but the pepperoni was underneath the cheese. Also, it was very large and tasted closer to thinly sliced bologna than pepperoni and the colour resembled bologna as well. I have lived in the area since I was born and have always heard how good Capri 's is but the pizza we got was vastly disappointing and expensive. Also, the dough ball they included in the middle of the pizza was rock hard and had to be tossed away.

This place makes quality, delicious pizza. The choices are great and the pizza is always warm. The dough ball in the middle of the pizza is one of my husband's favourite things about the pizza, I think! The Hawaiian pizza, while delicious, tends to make me not feel well later in the day, though (Which is something many people in our family seem to think! . While I would skip the hawaiian, other pizzas tend to be okay. Just beware if you're ordering delivery: they only take cash.
