Market Bistro - King's Lynn

For our project meeting with people from Germany, Denmark, the lowlands and norway we have booked the market-bistro-supply company. we wanted a menu that presents Norfolk products and seasonality. they delivered and more. the starter with freshly fed mushrooms was stunning. the team was friendly, professional and nothing was too much. great eating, great people. highly recommended.

We visited here to sample the tasting menu. overall it is quite good, the scallops were very good, although not locally (scottish), which takes away the aromen of norfolk concept a little. the ruffles and gels are clever and very tasty. the bark (red pohl) was somewhat overdue, more medium-heavy than rare and consequently a little firm. the desserts were delicious and probably the best part of the meal. go with the paired wine selections, they are really very good, especially the Hungarian tokai with the scallops and the Spanish crianza with the Beetroot tart. the market bistro is a good value for the quality of food. the service is very good, although we were the only restaurants for the first 90 minutes!

This is a fabulous restaurant in the historic centre of King's LynnGreat menu and really friendly relaxed service.
