I've been to the Red Lion many times since Jake and Lindsay and took over, and have not been disappointed once. The draught beer is cold every time and they have plenty of options. They had a few oktoberfest beers that were really good. It was exciting to have a bigger selection for that time. The food is well- prepared, cooked, and served. The soup is always piping hot, but not too hot! Their tagliatelle dish is to die for. I've even given a chance to some of their vegetarian options although I'm not vegetarian myself and they were delicious! The menu has options for everyone, even the kiddos, without being over or underwhelming. Dessert is a must at this pub! Their sticky toffee pudding MELTS in your mouth. The staff are always warm and welcoming and ready to accommodate. The wait staff are friendly and keep themselves available to customers throughout their meals. The bar staff are friendly and entertaining. I usually show go alone but having someone to chat to whilst I drink my pint is a treat! I will go back time and time again! Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: The vegan mushroom burger is a MUST for anyone who enjoys a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. It is breaded and cooked to perfection! I myself am not a fan of mushrooms but I ate that burger and thoroughly enjoyed it ! Kid-friendliness: The pub welcomes kids of all ages! Out back of the pub is a beer garden that hosts a lovely play area for children and plenty of space to run in the grass. They've included kid size meals on the menu and keep their fruit shoots stocked!
