Bidra med feedbackThey were busy , i was hungry.. i should of complained about the meal being cold. Had a severe stomach problem after eating here. Never again . Terrible.
Had a meal here today. Usually, we have no complaints but, today, it was so poor we felt we had to mention about it. My partner 's meal came out absolutely stone cold (Fish, Chips and Peas). Upon asking for a replacement meal it was taken away...... and simply re-heated for a moment or two. Chips were almost black from having been quickly heated through again, peas were still barely warm. Poor service and even poorer kitchen standards. Makes one wonder whether the training received actually covers food prep/service. As an ex, qualified chef of some 30 years, it beggars belief that no one is checking the meals that are being sent out for quality, temperature, etc. Very poor, indeed.
We come every week to the cafe and despite the change in menu have usually been satisfied with the food. However..and as I can have nothing with flour or yeast I have to avoid beds etc, I had jacket potato with tuna abd sweetcorn. It arrived...a splodge of beige liquid with yellow floaters. I ate most of it..only because we had been out since 8 and it was 1.30. The potato was really hard too. What a shame. So disappointed.
One star for being open! The lady behind the counter looked so miserable, not a great start. Ordered a pie a jacket potato cheese, eventually received food from a much more smiley member of staff but oh dear the pie look very sad, my just described it as a soggy cloth with dog food in the middle My potato was barely warm, a side of lettuce only no butter. Smiley lady took plate back when I asked for a salad with something else with the lettuce, she came back to report you could only have 20g of lettuce, butter was 20p for a tiny portion. Please sainsburys is that the standard you wish to adhere to? It’s not good enough
Sainsbury’s restaurant Kings Lynn. After completing our shopping just after midday we thought a bit of lunch would be good so went upstairs and ordered fish and chips. Previous visits had been quite good and the battered fish and chips were a keen favourite for us and others. When our two meals arrived a lot sooner than usual the meal looked very uninteresting with what appeared to be a flat triangular portion of fish and I think oven-cooked chips with the standard portion of peas. It look as though the fish had been oven-cooked also and was tasteless. We persevered through the meal adding a large portion of tartar sauce to provide some degree of flavour. The recipe appears to have changed dramatically and I believe providing drab oven baked fish rather than deep-fried, probably healthier but certainly not tastier. Very disappointed, why change a winning dish? Possibly more convenient and cheaper to prepare. Shan’t be returning.
