Sullivan's Taproom - Kilkenny

This was a great stop before our tour of the Kilkenny Castle! It was a little hidden and while it is our kind of place to hangout, we hadn't found it when doing research. The entrance is either through a wine and liquor shop or through a short walkway towards a patio. When we realized that it was a bar/brewery, we were welcomed by a large patio with a super fun atmosphere full of picnic tables, little shed-like rooms with TV's and small groups, and it had plenty of covered areas for when it would rain. We visited on a beautiful sunny day, so the awnings were pulled back and the buildings surrounding the courtyard kept if from getting too windy. The inside of the bar was a typical indoor/outdoor bar and the staff was very helpful with getting us drinks and learning the flow of their process. The outside area had lots of families and some pups. There was a large tour sitting on the inside and each time we got around of drinks, we were able to listen in and learn a little about Sullivan's. Baby and pet friendly. The pizza base was probably the best I've ever had. But apart from the fantastic service, the real star of the show here is the beer. With their Black marble stout being phenomenal. But honestly any of the 5 Sullivans beers are excellent. Also, check out the off licence aswell, massive selection

Staff were wonderful, great food, great bear, great atmosphere!

We Had a wonderful pint and 2 pizzas at lunchtime, the service from Megan was fantastic, would definitely recommend it to anybody we could mainly because of the impeccable service!
