Jacobs Cottage - Kilkenny

We stayed 2 nights here. All of the staff were fantastic. So friendly and approachable. The food was great. We had both breakfast and dinner here both nights and tried different dishes each day. To be located so close to the centre and have no noise whatsoever was great too. I don't think we would stay anywhere else in kilkenny. Thank you to the whole team for the fantastic service once again

I'm a bit disappointed, rooms clean and nice but the bathroom is very small for the price of room. Also, the bathroom could do with fitting bath panels . The breakfast was fab and the breakfast staff were so nice . Aloud of noice during the night as a fight broke out and banging on doors . A sorry on reception was all we got .

Great hotel to stay. Food is excellent and service really good. Very central too so is very handy. Will be back for sure

We stayed here recently with our three children while in Ireland. The hotel is ideally located In the heard of the city. Across the road from kilkenny Castle, walking distance to all shops restaurants. There is no onside parking so we did have to pay €15.50 to keep out car over night in a nearby carpark. Staff are extremely friendly welcoming on reception. Our room was clean comfortable a little small but had all we needed. Food in the brasserie for breakfast was delicious with an amazing variety had really good java Republic coffer to offer. Unfortunately we found the bar food not so impressive, first of all why have your staff taking orders without taking note just memorising in there head? Order was mixed up side dishes forgetting although Waiter was really lovely tried his best... Food was also just ok for v expensive prices. Wouldn't be returning to the bar for food but would defo stay again when in the city.

Hotel fine. Staff very friendly. Food at lunchtime left a lot to be desired. Value for money very poor.
