The Back Porch Stage On Broadway

I heard great things about this place. We stopped on our way to Tyler from Shreveport to college football today. The food was moderate, but the worst part was the waitresses. Their attitudes were very inconspicuous and hanging; the bartender especially. I didn't expect that. I felt uncomfortable asking for a refill of my drink. Absolutely no smile from everyone. Where is the warm hospitality in Texas? Not here, that's safe.

No more flavoured alcohol. Limited wine selection. Fried Pickels were boiled in old fat, much better before new owners. Chicken salad not good. I'm not going anymore.

Was out of 4 io the items on the menu we tried to order, chicken salad came on bed of lettuce and nothing else. Had to ask for crackers. No taste. Very disappointed in food. Cheese queso was very watery. Had to ask that the big fan be turned down several times. Was cold and uncomfortable. Serve was great. Not her fault food was Not good

Pretty good variety of food and healthy portions. The self-serve beans and hush puppy appetizer is good. Lots of TVs around the room and plenty of seating. The staff is competent and we didn't have to wait too long for food and our orders were correct.

Good food, good prices. That was my first visit. I imagine going back when I'm back in Kilgore, which probably won't be for a while. Many burgers. Not much on the low carb side, but the cowboy dinner was good with steamed vegetables.
