I had diner here with my family and it tasted very good. After eating a lot of meat the past few days in different restaurants, it was a nice change to eat some fish. We ate the sea bream and lobster spaghetti with the mussels spaghetti. The sea bream with gnochi tasted very nice with the herbs with curry. The lobster spaghetti also tasted quite good, although some more lobster would have been nice. All in all, a great place to eat with a great view

First of all, amazing scenery to eat you dinner -possibly one of most fantastic in Ohrid. Pastrmka, local fish from lake was very tasteful tender delicate meat. But mostly I was amazed by ljutanica, red peppers paste. Unfortunately fries were from freezer.

Honestly, you’ll be paying for the view here. I went there twice after seeing some reviews and recommendations from a friend. First time was good. I wanted to go back to try the famous trout. I took a boat trip a few days before and a friend had the trout at one of the restaurants which I loved! It was amazingly fresh and something I’ve never tasted before. I had same expectations for Kaneo. I was wrong- I was disappointed. I could have gotten this dish anywhere to be honest. And even at a cheaper price being in Macedonia. The staff are friendly though and the ambiance is great. If you need a mellow place with great scenery, check this one out.

The only reason why I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because of the lake and St.John at Kaneo view, otherwise the service and the hygene at the restaurant are very dissapointing. The food is okay, but overpriced. We had reservation and we arrived on time. The table was not ready, so we needed to wait for one of the waiters to clean the table from the quests that were sitting at our table before we arrived (only 50% of the capacity was full at that time). There were three waiters and none of them wanted to do that, just passing the ball to each other in front of us as guests. We decided to sit despite the fact that the table was not clean. After loud talking between them, one of them came in and nervously cleaned the table with a brush (if this can be called cleaning) and did not change the table sheets. The weather is still very hot and they put us at a table to a direct sun exposure, no shadows at all during lunch time. All tables were reserved for couple hours later, but they didn't offer us to switch tables as it was very difficult to have proper lunch when the sun was coming directly to our eyes. During our lunch most of the tables that had shadow were not occupied! Covid protocols are not followed and they didn't ask us for vacinnation certificate even though it is required in this period. There are cats everywhere in the restaurant and they are even jumping on the tables and eating the leftovers from the plates. As the waiters didn't seem to care about empty plates, to come and pick them up, I needed to leave my lunch and return the plates to the waiters. The toilet was dirty as well. Very dissapointing experience.
