Duchess Restaurant - Khopoli

Only one word - ATROCIOUS. We had breakfast only at Duchess...there was an ANT CRAWLING ON MY PLATE..the Chole bhatura was insipid, the Upma was unpalatable, the non veg items not fit for HUMAN CONSUMPTION..All in all very bad...Avoid the retreat and the FOOD like the PLAGUE.

It's good to have lunch buffet here. Best view from here and enjoy it upto waiting for the food you ordered. As usual it's little expensive as it's in lonavala and food quality and taste is ok.

Duchess Restaurant in the Dukes Retreat Resort is on top of the hill, that offers excellent view of the Mumbai-Pune expressway. When it rains, it is a sight to watch several waterfalls cascading from the vertical hill cliff just opposite your window! What a sight from this site! (Hence it makes perfect sense to insist to get seated by the window; even 39-in wait is worth it. Good buffet lunch spread; live grilled fresh veg counter. Tasty grilled fish and chicken. Soups were good too. The chef prepared fresh Puries for us (off the spread menu, but was complimentary for us). Excellent staff

The first confusion was on the last order time. Reception said 3 and we reached there by 2:30. They refused to take the orders. Food arrived very slowly but it was good. The quantity lesser than we expected

The view is superb. Very well placed so that you can have the complete view of the Khandala ghats. Lunch
