Mcconnell's Irish Pub Grill - Key West

Discovered this pub (irish? in kw?! yp) 2007 as in the city for a written conference, in billy collins workshop. it was right on the way back to our motel after the great. it has been a favorite for cold beer, excellent pub food, a friendly atmosphere (my daughter loves you eat) and occasionally a friendly kitty on the terrace. oh, and I mentioned clean toilets? nice. what a funny evening!

We needed a keyless night to end our key adventure and we found it. Many thanks to theny that you are a great barkeeper! the music was great and we were glad to keep the end of the bar. thanks for the adventurous! the history of the city virginia

Cute Irish pub and patio with live music. Food was good pub style reubens, burgers, mac and cheese but service was slow. If you have time to linger, its a fun place!

Had a great time in Key West--except for this place. It's too bad that the older lady (owner who is there has no clue what the staff is doing--which is a whole lotta nothing. We where there with two groups of people and sat at two tables with two different (inept) servers. There was virtually no one else there but a few people at the bar. We struggled to get our drink orders and the other table only got a portion of their food order. After that we decided not to order food and we all left to eat at Pincher's. That was a wonderful choice. Great food, happy hour and the wait staff was awesome. Skip McConnels and just go to Pincher's.

Walked in to have a late lunch and it did not appear to be busy. After we sat down a few minutes later the server came over and tossed the menus on the table and left. No greeting, no drink order, nothing. We decided to leave, the server had a attitude, who wants an attitude when you're on vacation. There are to many other places to eat so why put up with it. I should have looked at the ratings first before we walked in. Good luck with your experience if you decide to eat there.
