Bidra med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is slightly too salty or sweet, and overall a bit over seasoned. However, it is still considered acceptable Chinese cuisine.
This restaurant is a fantastic option for takeout meals! I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're in a hurry.
As it located in the Kevin Grove Village, there were mainly international students around. Yuan's was always more crowded than others restaurants in this area. I reckoned the prices were pretty cheap and the portions were quite generous. Been here few times, and normally had stir fry noodles which were cooked nicely and tasty. <br/ <br/ Seen a guy having a good looking dish, so I asked a staff what he was having. Then I ordered the same dish, chicken stew with rice $12). It was huge and perfectly well seasoned. Also tried their pearl milk tea a large size for $4.50) which was pretty nice with a strong tea flavour; though the pearls weren't as smooth as they could be. <br/ <br/ Happy with the prompt service and helpful staff.
I have never had a bad meal here ever and anyone that I have taken there has always enjoyed it too. Although their prices have gone up a couple of times over the past couple of years, they have never changed their large portion sizes, which means that they are still value for money. My favourite menu item is the combination fried rice. I have tried many Chinese restaurants in Brisbane (including Sunnybank) and have not found any friend rice that beats this one. There is chicken, beef, fish, prawn, fishcake and bean sprouts in there, and the only thing that would make it better is if it also had char sui pork.
Great asian food. This is a great little restaurant. Fast and cheap and always busy which is usually a good sign. I live in the same building so I eat there regularly and the food is always the same. Highly recommend.<br/ <br/ Edit: I forgot to mention the portion sizes are massive.
