Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant is wonderful. The food is exceptional. The waitress was wonderful. The only complaint is the person who seats you. He is extremely unorganized. We waited for about an hour to be seated. We observed at least four empty tables, that stated empty. Long story short, we were seated at a table that was empty our entire wait. Simply wrong!
10/10. Loved visiting this cute and tasty local breakfast spot. Would come back again in a heartbeat. I got the El Presendente.Food: 5/5
Sunny's is a lively little restaurant in such a prime location on Bernard. There is usually a 15-30 minute wait for breakfast/brunch, but it's an easy wait with so much to see/do in the area. The restaurant itself looks super rad and captivating. Whether you eat inside or on their patio, it's beautiful! I've eaten here about a dozen times, and the food is always excellent. However, 4 out of those 12 times, there has been hair in my food that has been fried into it, so it is not easy to just pull it off of my plate. I'd love to give this cute little spot 5 stars, but the multiple visits where hair was present, has dropped it down one star. Still a great place, nonetheless!
We were so excited to finally get to eat at Sunnys after having problems finding it one day and then walking a great distance to reach the restaurant another day only to find out it was closed on Wednesday. However, determined to give it that third chance, we arrived mid morning on a gorgeous day and were happy to discover one open table outside. BUT... being a couple of two, we were told the table was being saved for a party of four that might show up--as if that party couldn't be seated inside the way we were. Very disappointed, we sat inside. We both asked for water, and it arrived tepid with no ice. When I asked for ice, a cup of ice was slammed down on the table--obviously our punishment for not ordering a paid for drink. I ordered the ooey gooey grilled cheese. While it was delicious, the french bread slices were the smallest I've ever seen for that type of bread. And the highly acclaimed pickles that I was expecting to go with the sandwich was six of the thinnest smallest slices of pickles possible. There was enough for barely half of the half. I had the griddled hashbrowns and they were very good, but not worth returning to the restaurant. My husband had Chuck and Cheese and a small side salad with the carrots, cucumber, and tomato sliced as thinly as possible. Compared to other restaurants in the area, the servings of food here were minimal. The server was also brusque and non attentive. We won't return after eating at much better places in Kelowna. By the way, the outdoor table remained unused the entire hour we were there.
They were queuing outside when we got here, and then we understood why. We were organised well into the restaurant , got a table for two, and the service and food were absolutely excellent, in a buzzing atmosphere, open kitchen so you could watch the food cooked from the bar. Lovely place
