Sala Thai - Kells

A wonderful dinner with attentive and cheerful staff. Food was delicious and service just perfect. Dining room is comfy and hung with stunning paintings. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and would highly recommend

We ordered pad Thai, crispy duck stir fry and yellow curry with prawns. We had the prawn rolls for an appetizer and they were ok. Rest of the food was good- the yellow curry was freaking delicious and I seriously considered licking the bowl.

Was a pretty awful meal and staff were either non existent, unavailable or very unhelpful. We arrived, and after waiting around 5-10 mins without seeing anyone, we decided to look for staff to let them know we were waiting for our reservation and to be seated. They were no where to be seen. We also had to find staff to pay the bill believe it or not!!! We had two small children with us. There is not a kids menu which is fine however, when we asked on the possibility of a half portion or to split portions or to add prawns to egg fried noodles for the children, we were told 'no ', 'no ', 'no ' without hesitation. The ordering of the food was a pretty awkward event and the restaurant were very unaccomodating in every sense. Food came. Short wait. At best we all gave it 3 out of 10. Found it unauthentic, bland, not spicy at all and uninspiring. Not worth the money and wouldn 't return. Felt sorry for the staff. They were young and lacked training. Communication was also difficult and they appeared to have no help from anyone more senior. Tip for the management- train and support your staff, hire more staff, be available for them, improve the food, be more accommodating to your guests and don 't assume a 12.5% tip on the bill when your service (according to all of the TripAdvisor reviews) are pretty poor.

We went as a group of 5, 3 vegetarian and 2 meat eaters. The service was swift and delightful. We had 3 courses and the food was well prepared and tasty. Generally a most pleasant experience. It was good that the music was discreet and we could talk comfortably

I usually love Thai food, but this was underwhelming. Forced to book a reservation on checking into the hotel and then when we showed up nobody was there. Seated ourselves and waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Nobody else was there. Food was too much in portion size. Underwhelming flavor and limited vegetables. Service was slow and server paid no attention to us the entire time we were there. People were checking into the hotel and constantly walking through the eating area. My husband order a drink and the glass was dirty. He requested a new one and the server put it back with the clean glasses despite multiple people touching it to show the dirty area (and the dirty spot inside the cup). Did not feel that food was dealt with in a hygienic way after interactions with staff. Views were pretty from the restaurant windows, but that unfortunately was probably the best part of the meal. Eat somewhere else and you will probably receive a better experience.
