Gourmet House Japanese Cuisine

The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. I wish they had table service and real plates. You still have in-person food, but you need to order at the counter and they bring your food to eat in to-go containers with plastic utensils. Not the experience I was hoping for.

This is a nice small place, good sushi, great Ramen, if you want somewhere for a nice first date that's not super overpriced and has reasonable prices I'd recommend here

As other reviewers have stated, the wait is longer than most. The take out situation seemed to be rocking, though! We will have takeout next time, but it was nice to have time to visit with my family away from home. The food was great and they have made the most of the labor shortage by not having table service and your food now comes in take out packaging when you dine in. Unfortunate, but necessary. You are given a free drink for ordering in the restaurant. Again, great food!

They've opened their dining area and the best I can say is that it's nice. That having been said, their sushi is still the best around and some of the best I've ever had anywhere.

This is a fantastic place to satisfy your sushi cravings. They offer a wonderful variety, and the staff has always been excellent. It's a charming little gem in Kearney. While it can be a bit pricey, that's to be expected for quality sushi.
