Whiskey Cake Kitchen - Katy

That was my second time to eat here and both times was GREAT! This visit we started with the deviled eggs - this time they were chicken tinga and sour cream and friend green tomatoes. Both appetizers were good! Baked tomatoes usually don't sound good to me, but they come with this great sauce that makes me personal. For my duck, I have the chicken and waffles. When the duck arrived, I was a little confused because there was no syrup, but I quickly discovered that I didn't need one! This chicken and waffles was so good and perfect blend of sweet and hearty. I would definitely recommend this and get it back! For dessert, of course, we have the whisky cake. My last visit, I have the beer-missu (sp. It was good, but the whisky cake was so much better. Morality of history only gets the whisky cake. We were “the people” who came a little later than we should probably have, but we still have a great service in our entire culinary experience! I have no end to saying big things about Whiskey Cake. I can't wait to come back and dinate again!

Love this place. We ALWAYS order the deviled eggs, they switch up the flavors all the time. And the cake is worth naming the place after, eat it now. Lastly not only is their food good, but their staff are too.

Our first time here and we had an amazing experience! Our waitress Brooke (turned out to be her first day on the floor was just outstanding! She was so sweet, attentive, and answered all my questions. Our food and drinks (onion dip, deviled eggs, 3 little pigs, OMG burger, whiskey cake, gimlet, and south central were delicious. And the manager Cara/Kara was equally as great, very friendly, and super customer service focused. I loved how she was on the floor running food, clearing plates, or chatting with and checking on patrons. Thank you all for our great lunch and we will have to come back next time we are in Katy!

I got to say that this is probably my favorite new place. This is definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Houston with Taste of Texas floating right around here with it but far more economically priced, great inspired menu, delicious drinks, very kind wait staff. I now need to learn how to master making cheese grits.

The food is consistently amazing, a unique menu with many flavorful options. Dishes are served beautifully! The atmosphere is great, the decor is unique and comfortable. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly! This place is quickly becoming one of our favorites!
