Eigenart 116 - Kassel

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. One of the children who is 4 was overlooked when the drinks order was taken. Then the kids meals were brought out about 20 minutes before the main course even though we’d asked for them...to arrive at the same time. The main courses came out over the course of about 30 minutes. Everyone had finished when the last main course came out which was a pizza and when it did arrive it wasn’t what had been ordered. When we expressed any sort of displeasure we were shouted at and informed we were unreasonable. The staff spent most of their time attending to their mobile phones rather than seeing to customers. The food was fairly mediocre. The schnitzel could have been a frozen one heated up in the oven. The chips tasted like oven chips. Appalling excuse for a restaurant and more of a social club for staff.

Hopefully this is not reflective of modern German cuisine. We were a large party of ten people and almost everything we ordered was pretty bog-standard. The selection of fish was particuarly overpriced and very unremarkable. Veggie burger was so-so and the fries, although being served...in a fancy basket were ready made, straight out of the freezer. The pizzas were not bad I was told. Service was OK. Waiter was very friendly but food took a long time to come, even though the restaurant was not particuarly busy, Would probably go elsewhere next time as just wasn't good value for money. Nobody risked a dessert or coffee.

Only pay with cash money. No credit cards or foreign bank cards! Nice ambiance inside and terrace in the sun. Food was of good quality. We had the steak and the gyros platter. Together with 2 beers and 2 coffee for €40. Service was just...underperformed...

We were desperate, looking for places to eat in Kassel during Documenta. This place was open and the only that welcomed us. Good beers, medium hamburger (the meat was a little bit dried). Not possible to pay with credit card

Great place to drink (beer and cocktails) and relax, also the diner card looked nice but it was a bit early to eat! We ordered a plain Pizzabread with Rosamarin, tasted good!The terrace is in between two roads so bit noisy but also provides privacy!We liked the drinks and Sun!
