When I'm in Kassel, I always use the opportunity to buy fresh products from the region, and to eat a little bit or more... From the outside, the building is quite impressive, one of the few splendours of Kassel, in the former Marstall, in the outgoing 16. Century on arrangement of Landgraf Wilhelm IV. built in the style of the Weserrenaissance. Here were the rural carriages and horses. The old town of Kassel was almost completely destroyed at the end of October 1943, including the Marstall. After the ruins were demolished, the building was rebuilt with the natural stones. The Kasseler Markthalle houses about 70 stands on two floors and a flower and peasant market in front of the hall on the outdoor grounds. A colorful drive with suppliers from the region with high-quality offers of fruit and vegetables over meat, fish and cheese. Teas, spices, herbs and more! Ten meat shops can be found here alone, with regional meat and sausage offerings, especially Ahle Wurscht, not only the favorite sausage of the North Hesses, but also mine. I also like to try new combinations, for example with fennel, chili or walnuts. The ones with fennel or chili taste very good that with walnuts rather less. Everywhere you can take small samples. As with Casaluko, a stand that offers fresh, homemade pasta, pesto and sauces. At noon you can take a small meal with these delicacies. Upstairs at Busuito there are delicious olives and many other Italian specialties, where I like to really beat. I also like to take cheese specialities from Anne's cheese counter and a freshly squeezed juice from the juice king on the upper floor must also be, this time from the pomegranate (super!) and then a Persian speciality, a saffron ice cream (toll! . Six gastronomic establishments invite to dinner, new since July is the Burger snack “Ahlecht’jer”. Eric Raida's regional burger, for which he also makes the rolls himself, is available for example with cut-resistant coats (a North Hessian meat speciality, beef and green sauce, or also in sweet and fresh breakfast options. The “small canteen” has also been new in the market hall since July, with breakfast and changing offerings of soups, jams, quinces and salads, with the operator largely referring to its regional and fresh products from the market hall. Variety and abundance of regional and international offers, very good quality and Northern Hessian specialities from the finest can be found here under one roof. Many call this market hall one of the most beautiful in Germany. I like to come here!

We went to their other outlets, but I think this rating/warning belongs to all their places in cassel: we went here and asked for vegan items, but the only thing they had was brot (which is quite beautiful, but most bakeries have vegan brot in Germany) and coffee without milk. no vegan sweets or snacks here. this bakery offers nothing that most other bakeries in Germany would not offer. we also had a coffee here and it was absolutely horrible, I don't think I had such a bad coffee in a long time.
