Kašperskohorský brewery and 1/2 of 5 The brewery is one of the youngest breweries in Šumava (founded in 2016) and is located near the legendary Kašperk Castle. It is with its 886 m.a.s.l. the highest royal castle in Bohemia. Alexandra Michalová brews beer in the brewery, I salute her Tasted on the spot: Kašperk 10° Well, these ten were really great. So she really drove into me for one gulp. A very balanced beer for the fact that it is just an ordinary 10, fragrant, hoppy, without defects. I'm sorry I was only there for the jump, because I could drink this all evening. Beer style: light draft beer Legal category: bottom-fermented beer alc. 4.1% IBU 32 from 5 Packed with you: NEIPA 12° Again, a perfectly balanced beer with a citrus aroma and taste, with pronounced hop bitterness. It tasted very good just a weaker foam. Beer style: New England India Pale Ale Legal category: top-fermented beer Barley malts alc. 5.8% from 5 Light wheat 11° Weaker wheat beer with an aftertaste of ginger. I could imagine a little more ginger, but on the other hand, if the beer is supposed to be light and fresh, there is just enough ginger. Otherwise, I have nothing against beer Beer style: Wheat beer Legal category: top-fermented beer Barley and wheat malts alc. 4.8% from 5 Herbal Stout 14° Stronger stout brewed with heather for dry days. That's exactly what we all need right now Very drinkable beer with a light aftertaste of herbs. In between, the stout is coffee and chocolate as it should be. Beer style: Stout Legal category: top-fermented beer Barley malts alc. 7% from 5 I still have cider from local apples at home and they say it's really good, so I'm excited 1l bottle from CZK 100.
