Bidra med feedbackVery good organic food, beautiful garden area, great hosts. Own to a couple he is the cook from Italy, organic and very tasty ingredients
Foods were fine, regardless of the price, the ingredients were cool, but if you were ready to spend 100 euros p.P. on your dinner, you could have a lot better options. Also you need a lot of patience to finish you dinner with 3...courses in 3 hours, with time you will get more than 10 finer courses if you are ready to spend a little more money in other fine restaurants. At least the pasta was good.
When you turn from B10 to Ettlinger Straße towards Rüppurr, an architectural open-air museum comes to the right hand: The settlement Dammerstock, known for all-hand cubic building houses from glass and concrete, dating from the late 20s of the last century under the aegis of Walter Gropius. The “Gaststätte zum Dammerstock” is located in the old Torhaus, a multifunctional construction of Otto Haesler, which at that time housed a butcher shop and a block plant next to the three-sided glazed restaurant; Today, the old-baked inscription does not invite the ancestors as much as the entire building, but it is an aura of heir soup, sausage. How wrong, how wrong. After years of passage we had to get an appointment in a nearby, literal practice in terms of gastronomy, from Ettlinger Avenue to Nuremberg Street and finally the flat house from the side to the face. Already our interest was awakened and we took the next opportunity to look at the glass box. The old butcher shop now houses a shop of the restaurant where you can buy all kinds of Italian specialties. The Erasmus itself is elegantly decorated and the tables are so wide that you are not forced to passively participate in the conversations of other people, for us a very essential requirement to really enjoy our food. Andrea and Marcello Gallotti have committed themselves to the slow nutritional movement with skin and hair as well as their philosophy that the animal is just as good as everything. The restaurant is certified according to DE ÖKO and is awarded the “Animal Protection at the Plate” award of the Schweisfurth Foundation. even, the entire website is proudly placed on the striped; the easy ton credo ends with the phrase “No other can.” Then. When we had lunch there a good year ago, there was a menu for Businessluncher, where you could not only combine Insalata/Zuppa, Antipasto, Primo, Secondo and Dolce for appetite and purse (29 to 45 €, but also many alternatives for each course. The alternatives are still available today, but the prices are so different that there is a 20% discount on everything in the middle of the day. For three courses, however, at least 60 € are due, unless you choose Gnocchi and the two desserts. Vegetarians get away a little cheaper with 48 €. If you have the full 8 courses of the menu border, for example after a busy trip from Bremen, you will receive 115 €, which then only 10% less than in the evening (129 €). As a greeting from the kitchen there was a crispy sea urchin, a careful but very pleasant beginning, with a crispy that accompanied us through lunch. We chose the three-way menu. My wife started with a spicy and generously filled onion soup, I with a strong and not too thin mushroom cream soup. Then it went on with Pasta. My wife was not 100% satisfied with the sophistication of her spaghetti alla Vongole: The bowls were great, but the spaghetti were very bit-resistant for their taste. That would not have been necessary: Ms. Gallotti informed us later that one cooks here like at home in Italy, where the bite strength seems to be barely limited, but that one wants to adapt if it were desired to be a little less cumsy. You should have known. The fact that the noodles only tasted for parsley and some butter while garlic should not be understood was also a pity, but could be related to the fact that we can enjoy so much that we can no longer perceive them in nuances. I simply stayed with mushrooms, because in 2018 it was such a poor mushroom that with us in the forest, where one of the most beautiful specimens usually hop in the basket was hardly found. For me there was a dish that was not on the map, Tagliatelle with forest mushrooms. Mr. Gallotti had made the best of it, but some of them were quite laborious. As I said, 2018 was not a good year... Finally, my wife had her obligatory sorbetball, which was quite naked for the upscale style of the house and for example would have benefited from a small prosecco or other suitable alcohol. My dessert consisted of three types of well-ripened cheese with fine onions. Finally, there is great praise for the fact that still filled water is given for free food, something that is natural in many countries in the world, but unfortunately not in Germany. Not only on the impeccable care of boss and boss, you can see that the Erasmus has high requirements in itself, which is not a miracle in its name. As I said, everything organic and especially slow, so you should have enough time. We had spent well and half an hour there, for the three mentioned courses plus greeting from the kitchen, which is hardly compatible with a commercial lunch break. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was going a bit faster on request. Conclusion: For a restaurant mentioned in Michelin, but not even a plate, the Erasmus needs a lot of money, even then, and more. It would be interesting to find out whether this price shift also included the necessary quality shift. However, since it is very open to us to discuss this, I will first discuss it with this 2018 report. Maybe someone from the GreatGastroGuide community feels called to look there.
High but not overcomplicated kitchen with a seasonal changing menu that puts much worth on specialties from italy. it's...More
We don't know what we should keep from this restaurant...the one that occurs from maestro medicine excellent knowledge and grande cuisine, the appetizer, Sicilian garnels on cheese mousse, was good but not the grande cuisine....the fish of the main dish dry, the side dish good, dessert very good. the wine offer is lavish with good but also expensive weeping, the service unrivaled and very good. the whole thing was too expensive for that.
