Bidra med feedbackWent here for some tapas and a glass of wine only. Nice bodega style atmosphere with friendly staff. The boquerones and the Chorizo were tasty the lamb kebab was not to my liking. Nevertheless I am tempted to go back and to try some of their cooked food. As this is a gourmet shop too, they have a nice variety of Spanish charcuterie, cheese, olives and wine too for take away.
Food: We tried some items from the lunch menu. The beef is terrific. The turkey was good, but turkey wrapped in bacon might have a bit more bacon or at least not a slice plopped on top like a censored picture on Facebook : The Brazilian beans were great. I was a bit surprised by the small portions for lunch. It is probably correct how much can you seriously expect for that price? On the other hand, it is probably as empty as it was that day because Czechs will find a place with more food (lower quality admitted for that price. It is much better rated in American guides to Prague than it is in Czech reviews, which was a bit surprising, but the steaks are as great as the American guides say. Service: It was average. The reason is there are more servers. One brings the menus and takes your order. Another brings your food. Another comes to take the money and then the first arrives to hover if you linger. If it were busy, I would understand, but it was not even at 12:30. Ambience: I love the look of this place and the overall layout. It looks upscale and maintains its position.
I was only at the restaurant for lunch, but it was clear that the place is popular. There wasn't much available space, but we managed to find a table. The service was friendly, although a bit overwhelmed by the number of customers. The lunch menu was decent and tasty. I would definitely consider trying this place for dinner sometime. The only issue are the stairs leading down to the restaurant, so ladies in heels may have trouble navigating them.
Restaurant with professionally prepared steak and service at a level that many restaurants with more well-known names could envy. However, beware of the prices, which are adjusted to the exclusivity of the establishment. I recommend it for a romantic anniversary dinner, you can stay within 1000 and feel like royalty (if you come across the same service as we did).
The food is great, such as chicken steaks, beef, soups, etc. Excellent homemade lemonades and a wide selection. Well-separated smoking and non-smoking sections. Unfortunately, the service is slowest during payment. I also don't like reservations during lunch menu, when all tables in the non-smoking section are reserved.
