The restaurant has become increasingly popular, attracting a lot of nonveegetarians as well. Vegan menu is available with lots of options highly recommend

We arrived just as they were about to open the doors at 11:30am on a Sunday, and the other early customers waiting around outside told me to go in and get my name on their walk-in list. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated since we were quite early: I didn’t see people having to wait outside for a table to free up until about an hour later. Upon entering, we were asked if we eat dairy or eggs, to which I declined both. So they handed us their vegan menu instead of the normal ovo-lacto one. It was in Chinese only, so I tried my best to translate it into English for one of my dining companions who spoke none. They have a variety of different appetizers, sushi, fried foods, grilled items, boiled dishes, entrees, and beverages including soft drinks and alcohol . A few of the menu items still had an indication that they were lacto-vegetarian, which confused me since the menu was entitled “vegan menu.” Just stay away from the items with 奶素 written under them. For three of us, my aunt ordered two set meals choice of entree with kitchen’s choice for appetizer, fried food, boiled dish, and soup : sesame sauce noodles 胡麻拌麵, came with plenty of fresh veggies and sushi 壽司, omakase selection of nigiri, a cucumber maki roll, and a piece of inari . We also ordered several items a la carte: Japanese-style tempeh salad 和風天貝沙拉 , California roll 加州卷 , and fried mushroom “meatball” 香菇丸, 2 per order . The waitstaff confirmed whether we eat alliums, and after we agreed, she rushed off to put in our order with the kitchen. Everything tasted delicious and freshly made, and all of it came out at a good pace, which was important since there’s limited space on the table. The appetizer for the noodles was a burdock hand roll 牛蒡手卷 , and the one for the sushi entree was chilled vegetables 冷菜, slices of winter melon, blanched fern, and seaweed . Both came with the mushroom soup 鮮菇湯 as their boiled dish and vegetable miso soup 蔬菜味噌湯 for their soup. Two soups on a hot summer day? Glad they have air conditioning! For the fried course, they both came with tempura-battered mushroom on a skewer, genetically called “tempura vegetable skewer” 蔬菜串揚 on the menu. My favorite items were the sesame sauce noodles and the mushroom “meatballs”, which were shiitake mushroom caps stuffed with a tofu filling, battered, and then deep-fried. The former is served chilled, which suited us well on a hot day. I loved all the veggies in it, too.

Thought I’d add a review so people know this place is still solid. Great Japanese vegetarian fare, small plates kind of vibe. Very busy, so get there early. On the pricier side. No English, but the red dots on the menu indicated ovo-lacto veg.
