The Westport Saloon - Kansas City

Warm wood and brick throughout. on warm days they have a wall to the wall floor to cover the garage door that leads to the outside. covid took a toll, the kitchen is currently closed, and they do not open up to 5. music is often old school blues, bluegrass, many open mike jams from the same. Sometimes a rock or radio band plays. (in which there is a fusion that fits in the nice warm room) a whisky and beer pub. yes, pub against any bar.

Cozy atmosphere and great live music! Everyone there was pretty friendly. The gentleman behind the bar, Will, was welcoming and even the bouncer was polite. Definitely worth checking out! Thank you guys for the great time

Bartender was kind and extremely helpful; even so far as remembering me upon my return a few weeks later. Live music is always outstanding! This is always a stop on my visits to Westport

It was a Friday night bout midnight and the place was packed but it was a nice and friendly environment. I came to see my co-worker play with his band. The snacks that you order were cooked fresh to order. Very happy about that.

I support live, local music and enjoy bars. But beer 1 was flat and too warm, beer 2 was just too warm. After waiting for 45 minutes (after paying the cover charge) waiting for the advertised guitar player to begin, I found out it would be another hour. The guy that was playing in his place sounded as if he was making up the songs as he went along at about 120 dB. Not recommended.
