Sankofa Cafe - Kansas City

My husband and I went here for his birthday. The owner was so sweet and hospitable. It was early for dinner, so we had the place to ourselves. The inside was clean and well decorated. It was reasonably priced with good portions. The Jamaican soda selections were delicious! I want to go back and try their mixed drinks.

When you walk in this establishment all cares stress in life seem to roll off your back like water off a ducks tail. The chef was patient, knowledgeable, and helpful with recommendations. He also answered any questions I had about the menu. Kathy was a joy! She was sweet, helpful, and took genuine interest in me as well as all other patrons! She also offered sound wisdom and shared part of her personal story with me. I will definitely be coming back!
