As down home KC BBQ as it comes. One of the few originals.

The to-go wait was an hour. That's UNACCEPTABLE! Also, they're closed on inconvenient days. It's disappointing when you want to purchase their BBQ over Jack Stack or Gates BBQ.

Each meal is guaranteed to feed you twice! If you've never eaten here, you don't know KC bbq. And once you do? You'll never wish to visit anywhere else in town again.

Im from out of town and was looking for some good BBQ and I’m glad I stumbled across this place. I will be back before i leave town. By the way this is the Smoke Sausage.

STOP HERE IF YOU'RE IN THE AREA! The best BBQ joint in KC, in my opinion. For reference, I also like Q39 and Joes, Jack Stack is ok, and Gates is low tier. My favorite items are the sausage, ribs, and chicken wings, and I love their sauce. Sides are decent. I'm not a fan of the rib tips, they don't taste bad but it's just an annoying cut of meat. It's a hassle to eat around the little bones and connective tissue. Just get the ribs like a normal person. I grew up in the area and never had LC's until I was an adult...one of my biggest regrets, right next to not being present for the birth of my son.
