Brookside Barrio - Kansas City

First time at brookside barrio. Our server Riley was awesome! She was knowledgeable about gluten intolerance (which is rare). She made sure to let the kitchen know as well. The atmosphere was also great. We sat on the patio and there were fans so it wasn’t unpleasant. Food was really good. We will definitely be back and we hope to get Riley again:)Dietary restrictions: Gluten intolerance

Kylie W. has been our server several times! She’s wonderful! She’s probably my favorite server of all time. Drinks and chips are flowing. She anticipates needs before we even ask, plus she always wears cute earrings. I love Barrio food but she makes it!Food: 5/5

Brookside Barrio is the best place for dinner and lunch. Kylie is an amazing server. She makes sure that you’re well taken care of! Also, Charlotte is awesome!! Definitely go to Brookside Barrio for the delicious food and great service!!Food: 5/5

May 2023We ended up unexpectedly at Brookside Barrio on a Friday afternoon was perfect weather, perfect food, and best of all, hands down our favorite customer service in Kansas City, a server named Hal. This young man has the “it” factor! He took remarkable care of us!If you want to go somewhere, that makes you feel special, go to the Brookside Barrio can, and ask for Hal!July 2023Stopped in to Brookside Barrio and asked if Hal could be our waiter. He was not there but we were really happy to know that this location has more than one really great waiter! Ricky provided very professional and prompt service (and he covers more than one location) …This time we had the Monday special, burritos… they did not disappoint! The black beans are a little on the spicy side for those of you who are sensitive to spice.Even on this hot day in KC, the fans provided a perfect amount of breeze on the patio… great background music and the buzz of playful conversions in this lovely space provided for a beautiful meal!

Wonderful, delicious, fresh food. I got the lettuce shrimp tacos and flavors were beautiful. I ate the whole thing! They only had 3 servers the day of the Taylor Swift concert, and, although slower than what you might normally expect at a restaurant, it was not overly slow.Food: 5/5
