The Buffet - Kamloops

The restaurant is pricey for what you get. The ambiance is lovely, but the high prices did not justify the experience.

The other night, we dined at Match for dinner. We ordered the chicken grill pizza and the pulp. Unfortunately, the chicken on the pizza was non-existent. The flavor was very spicy and not as expected. We had enjoyed a great burger at the same place the week before, but we cannot recommend their pizza based on our terrible experience. When we mentioned this to our server, she responded with a disappointing "oh good."

We stopped in Kamloops to fill gas at Costco. We thought it was also a good time for an early lunch and match Eatery was close, so we went. It was very quiet on a Sunday morning. Maybe we were just one of six groups in the restaurant. We chose the following: Nacho Average Nachos Funny play on words because they were the definition of average. Chips were good. A little cheap on the blows. I admit, with a large tortilla on the bottom of the plate is brilliant, although easier to eat every last bit and easier to clean. Gameday Chicken Wing Average. My Thai Chicken Salad Light above average. Good taste. But not much chicken. Reel Deal fish and chips Light above average because the use of a beer battery makes the fish lighter and Crasper service was OK. Server was young and a bit inexperienced, but friendly and friendly enough. I should note that the table felt somewhat sticky. One of the members of our group is an Encore member that gives 15% discount that makes the meal a bit more affordable. Overall it was good. Average quality food with average service in a reasonable location.

Last weekend for dinner, with 3 adults. Had the reservation so easy to get a table on a Friday night. The waiter was new. Well started with fast service. Then the waiter disappeared about 25 minutes after we had placed the food order. Hey. Beverages... were not good. 2 Ceasars were much too spicy and not really pleasant. The wife then had a beer and it tasted. Ask for our food and was said would soon be another 10 minutes later and at least 45 minutes in our food. I had the special rib, it was tender, but overly tasteful, it was OK. She had Cesadias... they were fried deep?? not sure why. They were sharp, but kind of fat. Under average. Wives friend had fish tacos, they were OK, not great. Manager brought out our food, and when I said... only for your information it was tooling over 45 minutes to get our food his comment was to take every 45 minutes to get their food... No excuse. That was our second dinner there in a month and we were not impressed. will not hurry

Had dinner at the Match while playing in the casino and was disappointed in the food, price and service. The dinner was a long time coming and was average at best, not the taste we expected and pricey. Had to wait 20 minutes before we...were given the drinks we ordered when we first sat down and the Eatery was not that busy. Sorry we made the choice and will try elsewhere next time.
